DANCE

Adapted exercise and dance movements with multi-levels of functional and/or physical abilities.  In this class there will be a 15 min. warm-up, followed by learning a short choreographed dance routine and finishes with a beneficial cool down.  Participants will feel great physically while having a super time!  Wheelchair & walkers welcome.

Krysta is a Recreation Therapist as well as a dance teacher and loves working with seniors.

Are you interested in being an actor for a day?  We will be working on scenes from plays that will be presented to the rest of the class at the end of the workshop.

Tracy was Artistic Associate at the Citadel Theatre for 6 years and while there co-created and directed the KidsPlay @ the Citadel series.  She has directed many plays in Edmonton and is now freelancing as a director, dramaturg, theatre instructor and administrator.

Speaking Shakespeare Like You Mean It! is a workshop open to anyone who likes Shakespeare or wants to.  Taught by one of Theatre Prospero’s classically trained actors, the workshop will free your heart, mind and tongue to work as one in uttering the majesty and simplicity that is Shakespeare’s work.

This belly dance workshop is geared to moving mature women’s bodies in a low impact, rhythmical way.  It’s about the belly, the hips, the feet and certainly a lot about the smiles and the attitude.  This oldest dance honours age in women and celebrates their bodies in all its sizes and shapes.

Lorraine was born and raised in Alberta and studied at both Grant MacEwan College and the U of A.  Her work is in numerous public and private collections throughout Canada, the U.S.A. and England.
